Greg is a Hill Country native who grew up on construction sites, working hand in hand with his father, a well-known local contractor. He started doing construction for a living at 17 and never looked back.
Through Daponte Construction he's done excavation, drainage, road construction, land clearing, foundations and turf across Central Texas. TX Trailcraft puts that experience into paths, cart routes, senderos, bike trails and pump tracks.
He and his family live right here in the heart of Texas, which is why the Build Back Fund matters to us.
Trail building taught us to read the ground.
A good mountain bike trail has to survive riders and storms at the same time. That forces you to read the soil, the rock and where the water goes. We bring the same habits to every job, whether it's a backyard pump track, a mile of sendero or a cart path for a POA.
Trail and pump track design is often done with our partners at THCMTB. They design the ride, and we build it.

How the fund works.
One percent of every paid TX Trailcraft invoice goes into a separate Build Back Fund account. When the business is healthy, the fund pays for one donated community build each quarter: school trails, park pump tracks, trail repairs after floods. It also helps get bikes to Hill Country kids through a youth trails program in development with THCMTB.
